“Since 2018, Breadbelly has quietly slung superlative sandwiches and cult-status pastries out of a minuscule storefront in the Richmond District. But last summer brought major changes: The Asian American bakery opened a second location inside an enormous former shipbuilding facility — big enough to house indoor pickleball courts — at Pier 70.

All baking has been moved to the new kitchen space, which is four times larger than the original location, but the quality of Breadbelly’s seasonal salads and milk bread sandwiches remains as stellar as ever. And now it comes with a waterfront view.”
